I hope that you are having a ton of success promoting products and services.
I get asked all of the time what’s the best way to get started as an affiliate.
I would suggest the first thing to do is do some keyword research and find out what specific keywords you would like to go after. Then get a blog or website up with posts/articles that focus on those keywords.
Start this process up ASAP. Just focus on getting content up on the site.
I talked more about this, and other things on our latest DCS Affiliate Show. You can watch it below.
I hope that all of you Mother’s out there had a terrific Mother’s day yesterday. I love and appreciate all the Mother’s in my life.
We had a great Affiliate Training Show today. Thanks to all of you who were able to attend.
If you were not able to watch, I discussed the importance of having a current W9 Form (U.S. affiliates) and W8 Form (international affiliates) on file. If you have not completed the form yet, please do so.
You can email it back to me at: bcoppieters@dotcomsecrets.com or fax it to: 208-441-5975
Brent Coppieters- May 10th, 2010
Remember May 18th, 2010 we are launching “The Darkside of DotcomSecrets”.
I am hoping to get some email copy and links in the affiliate center soon.
Things have been pretty busy for me lately. We have been working on some new products, and Russell and I flew down to Dallas Texas for the Glazer-Kennedy Super Conference. It was great to get out and reconnect with friends and fellow marketers.
Here are some of the replays for our last few DCS Affiliate Training Shows:
Monday May 3rd, 2010
April 26th 2010- Russell and Brent

Thanks for being a great affiliate. I appreciate your help.
We had a great Affiliate Training Show this morning. If you were on the show you got to see all the details about of new ExitFire contest. This contest is only running for 2 days.
I get asked all the time: “Brent what are your top affiliates doing to make money?” - My reply: It’s all in the list.
If you want to be a successful Affiliate in the Internet Marketing Space- start building a list. I talked about it a few weeks ago and discussed it and other things on my Affiliate Training Show this morning. You can watch it here:
I had someone on the show say that they just had a “small list”. Heck it’s a list. Just keep it growing. Everyone who has a big list all started out with “small lists”.
We had a terrific training show this morning. Thanks to everyone who was able to be on the live show.
I shared with everyone some questions that I received from our affiliates, and we all helped answer the questions. It really is cool, our affiliates can ask specific questions- and they can not only get an answer from me, but from others on the show. I will be the first to admit that I do not have “ALL” the answers despite what some may think. :) Thanks to everyone who helps contribute.
These guys are both getting a ton of traffic to their blogs, and are highly regarded super Affiliates making some great money on their blogs. I heard them speak while attending Affiliate Summit in Las Vegas.
I hope that you all get your blogs started, and are implementing the stuff that we talked about on the training.
We had a great training call this morning. Thanks to all of you who made it on the show.
The questions were great, and kept all of us busy.
You can watch the training right here.
Someone on the show asked about ways to make money everyday. I shared with everyone an article that I came across from Frank Kern.
He created his “Daily Money-Getting Checklist”
1. Did you make an offer to your list?
2. If no, did you send usable content?
3. Did you schedule a reciprocal mailing with a top-level JV partner?
4. Did you send an offer to your Twitter list today?
5. If no, did you send usable content?
6. Did you schedule a reciprocal “tweet” with a top-level JV partner?
7. Did you get new people into your funnel from COLD traffic sources like PPC?
this was from his Mass Control Monthly March, 2009 edition.
I also talked about the 3 tactics from Affiliate Marketers. This was based on an article written by Brian Clark (copyblogger.com) featured in the April 2009 FEEDFRONT MAGAZINE.
Brian talked about getting your prospects in a “buying frame of mind”.
He lists 3 ways to effectively promote.
1. Endorsements
2. Tutorials
3. Bonuses
