Positively Influencing Others

We had a great Monday Morning Training call yesterday. It is so cool to hear our affiliates getting on the call, and contribute to the discussion. Heck, it’s even better to hear you helping out each other. This is what makes internet marketing so cool. We are not afraid to help each other, because we know that we too can learn from others.

The call focused on some things that Russell has touched on recently. When asked by one of our affiliates if he (Russell) had to start all over again, what would he do… Russell said that he would first sign up with an autoresponder, and then talked about some other things he would do. After the call I asked Russell to clarify a little more. He said that a skill that everyone who wants to make money online needs to develop, or spend time on is following up with their subscribers.

Our call took off from there, with affiliates sharing examples about how important following up has been for them in their respective businesses.

Corey who was on the call shared with us a book written by Robert Cialdini titled: Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion. He said that it offers great information about communicating with others. This can greatly help you in creating a follow up series and communicating with your lists.

I plan on renting this book from Russell’s library and reading it on our upcoming cruise. :)

We won’t be having a training call next week, but plan on doing our next call on Tuesday April 22nd. I’ll email you details when I get them.

Robert Cialdini’s Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion is a great read. Jeff Walker, John Reese, Frank Kern, etc. use his “weapons of automatic influence” to great effect to create hype for product launches.
